Meet the Board
Eelco
Eelco is the President of United Netherlands. In this role, he is responsible for representing the organization, giving direction to the team, and keeping an overview of progress. Eelco was a member of the 19th Delegation. Now that he is on the Board 2022/2023, Eelco lives in Nijmegen and is a first-year master’s student at Leiden University, doing Data Science & Statistics. Next to going to the gym, he likes to listen to music and watch movies.
Pauline
As Program Manager, Pauline coordinates United Netherland’s three different programs and manages their executives. In addition, she is responsible for maintaining contact with partner organizations and guest speakers. She is currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Philosophy, Politics and Society at Radboud University. In her free time, she likes watching movies at LUX cinema and exploring the nature around Nijmegen.
Manzoer
As Academic Manager, Manzoer’s main tasks is ensuring that the 20th delegation of the UNL will be the best trained and most acclaimed of all. With a keen eye for world politics and a passion for MUN-related soft skills, especially public speaking, he hopes to design a truly transformative and electrifying program for all delegates. Of course, he has the same ambition for the HSP and PSP. Next to everything MUN, he is also enthusiastic about chess and drawing.
Tom
As Vice-President, Tom safeguards the well-being and personal development of the board, organises the training week in New York, and assists the President in strategic and long-term decision making. As External Affairs Manager, he hosts external workshops on public speaking and negotiation. As UNMD executive, he is involved with the Delegation program, including the conferences at Oxford and Harvard. He is doing a Master in Neurophysics, thoroughly enjoys music, and likes to do a variety of sports, such as swimming, squashing and running.
Lucas
As Financial Manager, it is Lucas’ task to guard over United Netherlands’ finances. He is also responsible for the Public speaking program as PSP excecutive. He has completed a Bachelor’s in Chemistry and a Pre-master in Political Science. And, this year, will be pursuing a Master’s degree in Chemistry in Nijmegen. In his free time, he likes to plan trips, have drinks with friends or make music.
Seyma
Seyma is the Event manager and the High School Programme Executive this year. She is a first year Master’s student, doing a double degree Datascience & AI and Human Technology Interaction at the TU/eindhoven. She is in charge of arranging the events and the trips to both Oxford and Harvard, as well as ensuring that HSP runs smoothly. Besides being a nerd and UNL geek, she practices taekwondo and tries to go to the gym regularly as long as her schedule allows her to.
